The Octopus Club is a grassroots, volunteer fundraising arm of AIDS Services of Austin. We promote parties of all sizes to increase awareness and raise funds for people living with HIV/AIDS. The biggest party of the year is November 5th, 2006 and we want you to join the fun!
Every dime the Octopus Club raises goes directly into the Paul Kirby Fund—the emergency assistance fund for people in Central Texas who are living with HIV and AIDS. This donation-funded program provides clients with emergency financial assistance for prescriptions, eyeglasses, rent deposits and other critical needs. Less frequently, it is used for rent and utility assistance when there is no other funding source. All overhead costs of Octopus Club events are provided for by the party hosts.
ASA has a new partnership with Until There's A Cure, a national organization dedicated to eradicating HIV/AIDS by raising awareness and funds to combat this pandemic. Purchase a bracelet from the website, choose ASA from the drop down menu, and 25% of the purchase will go directly to our local organization. |
